5G Launch In Bangladesh | Bangladesh Now In 5G

 Commercially launched Five G on March 31.


 Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has said that the Five G network will be launched commercially in the country from March 31.  He made the remarks at a function at the indoor stadium in the capital's Mirpur this morning.


 At the same time, the minister further said that the government is emphasizing on modernization as well as overall development of the country.  These millions are working on advanced technology.


 Everyone will benefit from the launch of Five G.  Work is also underway to allocate spectrum among service providers.  He urged the youth to work from now on to tackle the coming industrial revolution.


 He said the government has taken initiative to train the unemployed to build skilled manpower.  He also said that the ministry is working to bring broadband internet in every union of the country.

Earlier, private mobile operators have been working to ensure Four-G network in different parts of the country to join the Five-G network.  However, before the wave auction, they have emphasized on infrastructure development and making guidelines.


 At the same time, they say that the quality of service will also increase in the wave auction at a lower price.  Earlier, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications had said that at least 100 MHz wave would be allocated to the operators.

 Robi's Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer Shahedul Alam said the country needs 100 MHz waves to ensure five-G quality service.  He also mentioned that special consideration is required in determining the tar value to get the required wave.


 In this context, BTRC said, the initial price of the wave will be determined one week before the auction.  In the auction, the companies themselves increase the price of the wave.


 Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar said the price of the waves would not skyrocket, adding that companies would be allotted at least 100 MHz.  At the same time there will be guidelines.


 Earlier, the government had undertaken a project to develop optical fiber to provide 300 Gbps speed internet at district level and 100 Gbps internet level at upazila level to ensure Five-G service.  The project will cost Tk 1,059 crore.  Term till 2025.
